Tussah silk fabric comes from wild silkworms. This wild silk fabric has an uneven structure and a lovely honey color. Tussah silk fabric by the yard is perfect for sewing interesting, unconventional silk garments and is a great silk fabric for interior decor.

Silk noil is from silk waste and has a nubby feel and a low sheen. The nubby texture of noil comes from the use of very short fibers, called 'silk noils,' to weave the fabric. When these short fibers are spun into yarns, the resulting yarns have occasional slubs and loose ends.
